A day hiking to Champadevi will follow a rough dirt road of Dollu valley to the Hattiban Resort from Pharping. From the resort, a well-trodden track leads northwest up and sometimes down through pine forest, and then along the grassy ridge top to the stupa-marked. A return trip from the resort should take around 3 hours. If you walk up from the Dakshinkali road it might take anything from 4 to 6 hours, so bring food and water.

Champadevi Hiking Difficulty
Champadevi hiking is an easy grade hiking with steep uphill and downhill. You can end this hiking at Balaju and drive back to Kathmandu after approximately 4 to 5 hours day hike. The trail is so wonderful as you will see beautiful landscapes, mountain views and the jungles.

07:00 AM Breakfast at Hotel
07:30 AM Pickup at Hotel, drive to Pharping (25 km, 1 hour)
08:30 AM Start hiking from Pharping to Champadevi.
17:00 -
18:00 PM Hiking and enjoy nice view of Kathmandu valley and then drive back to Kathmandu

March to May and September to June are the best time for this day hiking. It is also possible to do Champadevi Hiking but everyday rainfalls may disturb your day hiking.The mountain views is not clear, it is almost under the clouds. Yet, the green landscapes and clear view of Kathmandu is so amazing.

The day Champadevi Hiking is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries,for pregnant travelers, for travelers with poor cardiovascular health. Except, this day Champadevi Hiking is suitable for all physical fitness levels.
