Tibet at a Glance
Tibet is one of the most isolated
regions in the world. It is located at
the centre of Asia with a population
about 6.3 million people. This ancient
trading centre having an average
altitude of 4,000m (13,120ft) above sea
level. Possessing more than fifty peaks
above7,000m (22,960ft), Tibet is home to
eleven Himalayan mountains over 8,000m
(26,240ft). China, India, Nepal, Sikkim,
Bhutan, Burma and Kashmir are all border
countries of Tibet. Over six million
people inhabit this land of rich natural
resources and ancient cultures.

Whether/temperature and Clothing
Normally in Tibet average temperature
will be between 4-19 Celsius in the
month of April through October.
Basically in the trekking season, the
night temperature in the mountain often
falls below freezing. Thus, you are
required to have sufficient warm clothes
to save form extreme cold. Additional,
it will be better to dress in layers
that can be easily put on and off as
required. It is often advisable to bring
your raincoat because rain or snow can
also occur sometimes.

Health and physical fitness
Health and physical fitness is a serous
matter in human being. So it is
necessary to be physically fit and
healthy to participate on Tibet tour.
Even if, there is no particular age
limit guideline, child below 8 years or
elderly people above 70 years or more
are not requested to take participation.
Further more, those who are sufferer of
high blood pressure, heart problem or
diabetic are not recommended for the
