This is a fantastic hike from Katmandu. Few people trek around Kathmandu valley. It offers a rich insight into the lives, history, culture and religion of its inhabitants. You will walk mostly shivapuri watershed forests and villages during your trekking time. Shivapuri hill (2729m) is the highest point of this trekking. From the top of Shivapuri can see Manaslu, Boudha himal, Ganesh himal range, Langtang range, Dorjeelakpa, Shisapangma and Gaurishankar. In short we can see more than 6 peaks from here. And other mountains can be seen and another gain of this trekking is to reach Nagarkot which is the most popular point for viewing, terrace, river and beautiful scenery green hill. Those who have short time in Nepal, but want to have trekking experience, the trek around Kathmandu valley is more worthy.

Day 01 :
Kathmandu – Kakani by drive and walk up to High hill and camp

Day 02 :
High hill – Shivapuri hill

Day 03 :
Shivapuri hill – Chisapani

Day 04 :
Chisapani – Nagarkot

Nagarkot – Dhulikhel

Day 06 :
Dhulikhel – Kathmandu

Itinerary 2

Day 01 :
Drive to Budhanilkantha by bus/car/van and walk up to Shivapuri hill( 5/6 hrs). Overnight at Tent Camp.

Day 02 :
Trek to Chisapani(5/6 hrs) overnight at Tent camp or Hotel.

Day 03 :
Trek to Nagarkot(6/7 hrs) overnight at Tent camp or Hotel.

Day 04 :
Drive back to Kathmandu via Bhaktapur city Tour.

Itinerary 3

Day 01 :
Drive to Sundarijal by bus/car/van and Trek to Chisapani( 4/5 hrs)

Day 02 :
Trek to Nagarkot( 6/7 hrs)

Day 03 :
Drive back to Kathmandu via Bhaktapur city tour.

Day 01 :
Drive to Sakhu, then trek to Nagarkot overnight at hotel.

Day 02 :
Drive back to Kathmandu visiting Bhaktapur Durbar Square.
